Jacobello del Fiore

c. 1370; † 1439 - 14th & 15th century - Trecento - Quattrocento

Venetian painter who combined Byzantine goldwork traditions with International Gothic ornament in large polyptych altarpieces for the Venetian lagoon, demonstrating the persistence of the fondo oro tradition in the Veneto into the 1430s.
