Lorenzo di Bicci
c. 1350 in Florence; † 1427 in Florence - 14th century - Trecento - Florentine School
Lorenzo di Bicci was an accomplished Italian painter of the Florentine School who is considered to be one of the most significant painters of Florence during the latter half of the 14th century. He is thought to have learned his craft from his father, whose identity remains largely unknown. Lorenzo's work, as well as that of his contemporaries Jacopo di Cione and Niccolò di Pietro Gerini, was heavily influenced by the artist Orcagna (Andrea di Cione).
